Get a half sheet of watercolor paper, draw your grid first before you get paint!
Draw a grid for your colors like the one below. Each square should measure 1"x1" with a 1/4" space in between.
Choose one primary, secondary, or tertiary color (lighter colors will work best).
Get some black and white paint.
Don't forgot your brushes, plenty of water, and a rag.
Start with your pure hue (color) first and fill in those squares.
When adding the white, black, or gray:
Start adding just a little bit first, then paint the next square.
Add a little more then move to the next square.
How to read a ruler! This shows 1" and what each of those little marks are.
Draw this first before you start painting!
Get your paint, brush, water, and a rag. Don't take too much!
Start with your full color first and fill in those spaces.
Continue filling in each tint, shade, and tone. For the gray mix about 20% black to 80% white.
