This is your chance to work on the project you've wanted to all year! What you make for this is completely up to you. The majority of your grade will come from the effort you put into your art.

You will also need to write an artist's statement. Don't worry! You've already written artist's statements with your Mythology art and Original characters.

Your artist's statement should at least have the following:

• Why you chose to make the art you did. The more in depth and personal this explanation is the better. For example, if you simply said "I chose to paint a mountain landscape because it's pretty." then you're not saying much about your art. You shold explain why you think a mountain landscape is pretty, how it makes you feel, or maybe even a personal experience about mountains the connects to the painting.

• How you used color theory. For this you should explain why you chose the colors you did? What parts of color theory did you use? How does this connect to the reason why you chose to paint this?

You can email your completed artist statement to 10088103@k12.hi.us. You are being graded on spelling, grammar, etc. Do not use AI to write your statement or you will get a 0 on it!
