Using the Pen Tool

For this assignment you will setup your image a little differently than the first assignment.

Place the image you're tracing on the top layer. Then reduce the opacity and lock the layer.

In addition to the pen tool, the Pathfinder tool is also useful. It allows you to combine multiple shapes, cut out shapes, etc.

Create 2 shapes similar to the image, select them both, and click the different options to see what they do.

Add gradients to make more interesting images. The default gradient is B&W, but you can change the colors by clicking the little color boxes on the gradient line, then selecting RGB from the color menu on the top right (The little lines in the corner).

You can adjust the gradient even more by using the Gradient Tool on your tools menu.
