Choose one of the available locations for your mural and follow the steps below to complete it. Make sure you are photographing or having someone else take photos of the entire process! You will need these for the final step of the project.
Choose one of the available locations for your mural and follow the steps below to complete it. Make sure you are photographing or having someone else take photos of the entire process! You will need these for the final step of the project.
STEP 1 - You must completely sketch out your idea first. Sketches can be done traditionally or digitally in any style that works for you, but can clearly communicate your idea.
STEP 2 - Transfer your sketch to the area you will painting on. This can be done by freehand, or you can use a projector to help you.
STEP 3 - Begin painting! The techniques you use will vary depending on the style. Don't forget to take pictures or video! At least one picture every day would be enough to document the progress.
STEP 4 - After completing your mural you will assemble all your photos into chronological order using:
Google Slides
A video
Some other option (you must propose this one)
Step 5 - Write a brief artist's statement (2 to 3 paragraphs) that explains why you made the mural you did and what it means. Make sure you share or email your photos or video and artist's statement to 10088103@k12.hi.us by the last deadline.
